What can I change to create more balance in my life today?



Where does the networker show up in my body? Your colon is the main physical place where the networker in you lives. Why? Because, your colon is a constantly changing hollow organ through which air (gas) and feces can move through space (ether). Think about all of the areas in your body where change causes movement and is affected by emotion: your heartbeat, blinking, muscle and tissue movement, breathing, etc.


How do I know when the networker in me is out of balance? Ever hear of the term "scatterbrain?" Well that means that you've got too much change going on. Constipation means that the colon is too dry (not enough change). Diarrhea means that the colon is too wet (too much change). Other examples of imbalances include nervous twitches, mood swings, cold hands and feet, insomnia, hyperactivity, dry/cracking skin, feeling fearful or anxious, etc.

How do I know when the networker in me is balanced? When the networker in you is balanced, you are brainy and great at following a routine. You are also a phenomenal at managing change, multitasking, networking, and you are creative, enthusiastic, organized, joyous, energetic and flexible. You know people who need something and people who can fill that need and you LOVE connecting them with each other.


What can I do to help the networker in me stay balanced? Enjoy eating healthy, sweet, salty and nourishing foods. Some examples include:

  • Grains, legumes and seeds: brown rice, quinoa, oats, barley, mung beans, lentils, flax and sunflower seeds
  • Vegetables: sweet potatoes, squash, leafy greens, cilantro, carrots, beets, asparagus, pumpkin, cucumbers
  • Fruits and beverages: bananas, pineapples, coconuts, avocado, dates, figs, peaches, plums, oranges, almond milk, cinnamon, fennel, licorice, rosehip tea

If you eat animal products they must be in small portions, organic, wild, free range and raised without antibiotics, hormones, are not vaccinated or genetically modified: beef, bison (buffalo), eggs, wild fish and poultry (dark meat) are appropriate for the networker.


Proper hydration is also essential. Hydration = water + electrolytes + EFAs (essential fatty acids) that contain Omega 3. Coconut water is an excellent source of electrolytes. Excellent sources of EFAs containing higher amounts of Omega 3's include chia seed, flax seed, hemp seed oil and fish oil. If you choose fish oil, only use wild fish oil that has been certified mercury, pcb and lead free. If you are eating out, Indian, Mexican, Vietnamese and Italian foods are your best bet. Continue to ask your favorite restaurants to prepare their food with unrefined sea salt. Essential oils such as ginger, marjoram, orange and patchouli will also help reverse an imbalance.
